shibuya-san, i would like to apologize to you before hand for i was actually two-timing you. as you had known, music is my life, my soul, my passion. so being with a musician is always my dream. and soon after i met chiaki-san, life changed drastically. i am deeply sorry and please accept my apologies for being this way. so now, im confessing that my love for you has disappeared and ive think through that i can no longer be with you. im already beginning a new life with chiaki-san.

Shinichi Chiaki
Chiaki is twenty-two years old and a 4th-year piano student at Momogaoka Music Academy. He is an accomplished pianist and violinist, but is also known to be a perfectionist and highly critical of himself and others. He seems to be rich, and is a fairly good cook. He seems to think that most "poor" people, (a.k.a Sakura Saku) are like the little match girl.
